A Weekend at Grand Bend Motorplex

We recently had a great experience at Grand Bend Motorplex – the home of Ontario’s largest drag race events and several popular race series! Located on 407 acres just minutes from the beautiful tourist town of Grand Bend, it’s an ideal day trip or weekend adventure. Plus, it’s only a 1 to 2 hour drive away from several Canadian and US major cities. So we see a lot Americans and Canadian enthusiasts enjoying the weekend together.

We recently attended the international motorcycle super show and were blown away by the amazing exhibitors, feature events and incredible selection of product on display.

At the Motorplex, there are so many motorsports activities to take part in – from races on its quarter mile dragstrip to its quarter mile high-banked oval. Plus, there is a multi-circuit road course for cars, bikes, and go-karts! And that’s not all – the facility boasts ample parking, unobstructed seating, rough camping areas, paved roads throughout the pit area, washrooms with showers and a licensed track side food court.

The state-of-the-art track includes a quarter mile dragstrip, a quarter mile high banked oval and a 1.39 mile multi circuit road course for cars, bikes, and go karts. It even has an extra chicane that forms part of the drag strip to control speed! With typical speeds reaching 73 mph (117 km/h), this semi-triangle layout offers visitors plenty of thrills. The facility also comprises ample parking spots, seating areas, rough camping areas, paved roads throughout the pit area, washrooms with showers as well as licensed food court options.
